This book is for elementary school teachers as well for parents, it was prepared thinking on Peruvian children from rural schools in the Andes from Aymara and Quechua communities.

Capacitación a docentes - Training for teachers

Tomando la delantera, la Dirección Regional de Educación de Puno (DRE Puno) junto con la Unidad de Gestión Educativa Local de Puno (UGEL Puno) realizaron la capacitación a nuevos docentes formadores, quienes durante 02 días (28-29 Set.) se capacitaron en el uso de la laptop XO y luego haràn la rèplica respectiva en sus planteles educativos de las diferentes provincias de Puno.

Going ahead, the Regional Direction of Education in Puno (DRE Puno) together with the Local Unit of Educational Management (UGEL Puno) carried out a training during two days (Sep. 28-29) preparing new teachers in the use of the XO laptop, who later will replicate what they learned to their colleagues in different provinces of Puno.

Más laptops XO para Puno - More XO laptops for Puno

Este mes (setiembre 2009) se entregaron 6800 laptops XO en las escuelas rurales de la Region Puno, sumado a las 2500 laptops recibidas el año pasado, se cuenta con un total de 9800 laptops XO.


This month (September 2009) 6800 XO laptops were distributed in rural schools in Puno Region, added to the 2500 XO laptops received last year, it will be 9300 XO laptops in total for Aymara and Quechua children.

Queridos amigos, ayer lanzamos a la venta el libro LA LAPTOP XO EN EL AULA, en la Conferencia de Software Libre FLISOL (Puno - Perú). Tuvo una extraordinaria acogida no sólo por profesores, sino también padres de familia y estudiantes de electrónica, sistemas y educación de la universidad.

Dear friends, yesterday we released the book THE XO LAPTOP IN THE CLASSROOM, at the FLISOL Free Software Conference (Puno - Peru). It had an extraordinary reception by teachers, parents and students of engineering and education from the National University of Altiplano.
